(WAS) was founded in 1982 by occupational therapist Sandra MacLean Uberuaga, MA, CCC-A, F-AAA, CPS/A, to advise and support businesses in adhering to regulations regarding hearing loss prevention programs.

WAS not only employs qualified audiologists but also provides training and certification as Occupational Hearing Conservationists (CAOHC) to all staff members, including support staff.
