The goal of Herefordshire Meadows, a network of meadow managers, is to create, preserve, and enhance flower-rich grasslands while highlighting their importance as an asset to a successful farming enterprise. Our network, which was established in 2015, now consists of over 500 farmers and meadow owners.
Our collaborative efforts span the entirety of the Herefordshire landscape, involving activities and conversations on the creation, management, and restoration of meadows for the benefit of wildlife, historic features, soil and water quality, natural flood management, and cattle agricultural enterprises. We are creating a network of locals who can identify plants, offer management guidance, and provide contract services for grassland management. We collaborate throughout the full Herefordshire landscape, sharing expertise on a broad range of topics.
