Full job description
- Oversee the submission and processing of insurance claims and facilitate timely reimbursement.
- Monitor and follow up on delayed or denied claims to resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant insurance laws, regulations, and policies.
- Stay updated on changes in insurance regulations and adjust hospital processes accordingly.
- Manage the hospital’s insurance policies, including renewals and negotiations with insurance providers.
- Ensure that all policies are current and provide adequate coverage for hospital operations.
- Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and provide clear explanations of their coverage and benefits.
- Resolve patient billing issues and coordinate with the billing department to ensure accurate patient accounts.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all insurance transactions and claims.
- Utilize healthcare management software to track and report on insurance activities.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Email and Internet
