While its convenience stores are run under the McColl’s label, its newsstands are run under the Martin’s name. It is the largest owner of regional substations in the UK, with about 600 outlets having post offices. In 1998, Martin McColl—originally known as TM Retail—was established. The business rebranded itself and altered its business plan in 2005 after being acquired by the management-led consortium.
