Based on an idea, Dale Swanson started Pyrotek in Spokane, Washington, USA, in 1956. Dale came up with the idea of using fiberglass fabric technology to make a filter that would draw contaminants out of molten aluminum.
From modest beginnings, Pyrotek has grown to employ over 300 sales engineers across 35 countries. Pyrotek is a global pioneer in providing equipment, goods, and services to the aluminum sector. It works everywhere aluminum is produced and processed. Currently, Pyrotek’s original filtering system is a global standard. In addition, Pyrotek manufactures products for advanced materials, steel, zinc, glass, and thermal and acoustic insulation.
