To foster reconciliation, the Independent Commission for Reconciliation and Information Recovery (ICRIR) will enlighten victims, survivors, and their families about fatalities and major injuries connected to the Troubles. December 2023 saw the formation of the Commission. Our Commissioner for Investigations is Peter Sheridan, and our Chief Commissioner is Sir Declan Morgan. The ideals and expectations of the Commission are outlined in our Code of Conduct for all employees. The Documents Library contains additional information regarding the Commission’s work. To start its information recovery operations, the Commission is hiring more personnel in a variety of specialized fields.
