The Lynde family has owned and run Lynde Greenhouse & Nursery for five generations. In the Golden Valley, we initially began growing plants and vegetables in about 1900. Following World War I, we discovered a market for growing and selling flowers. We relocated to our present site in Maple Grove in 1971.
These days, we grow plants for our retail garden center, off-site installations for homes and businesses, wholesalers including retailers and landscapers, and our fundraising initiatives. We grow plants for every season, including poinsettias, geraniums, garden mums, and Easter lilies, to mention a few. Our drivers usually don’t work full 8-hour shifts and are mostly retired persons searching for a few hours at our busiest times of the year. If desired, full-time employment is possible.
